Water Fluoridation

The battle is raging in Watsonville over the proposed fluoridation of the city’s drinking water. The residents have voted against it, but the State is claiming legal jurisdiction over the matter. My opponent, incumbent Bill Monning, is a supporter of water fluoridation. As a State Legislator I will move to repeal the mandate of fluoridation, leaving the issue up to local governments. 

  • No proof of benefits to ingesting fluoride. 
  • No proof of the safety of ingesting fluoride. 
  • No Government entity will take responsibility (liability) for the claim of efficacy against dental caries. 
  • Countries which have BANNED or DO NOT ALLOW water fluoridation include: Sweden, Denmark, Japan, Belgium, The Netherlands, Hungary, China, Austria, Finland, Germany, and Norway.
  • Negative effects are evident in geographical areas where Fluoride is naturally occurring.

Most importantly, this monumental decision must be decided on a local level,  by the residents who will be affected by it. The State cannot be allowed to have the authority to medicate us.
