Paul Gaylon's Endorsement

Submitted by Ellie Black on August 15, 2010

Linda Black, whom I’ve known from the Herb Room for more than a decade, has always been a proactive person. In her campaign, win, lose, or draw she is raising very important issues that are near and dear to my heart. Organic food; farmers markets; the importance of industrial hemp; watershed conservation; keeping  the public water, air and soil clean by fighting to stop water fluoridation and chemical (toxic) spraying upon the public, as well as  protecting the commons (the land we all use). Fostering dialogue between business, industry, government and individuals via public forum is important as is transparency in campaign finances, and real health care such as natural health by including all forms of healing & nutrition.

People need to read and understand what she is saying, and the issues which are being raised for our community, including Codex Alimentarius. (See Santa Cruz’s Connection Magazine for more details on how this seemingly far-off threat can affect our food supply and access to natural dietary supplements.) Understanding these kinds of issues is essential in order to protect our rights to our personal freedom, livelihood, and entrepreneur-ship which are necessary to maintain a stable, prosperous, and dynamic society. The content of her words and conceptual framework is beyond any partisan politics, affecting all of us.
